Levels of Care
From Detox to Outpatient — Treatment That Meets You Where You Are
Recovery isn't one program — it's a continuum. Legacy Healing Center Ohio coordinates every level of care most clients need, from medically supervised detox through residential / inpatient stabilization and into structured outpatient (PHP, IOP, and standard OP). Below is the at-a-glance map of what your treatment journey can look like.
Medical Detox
Medically supervised detox is the safe, monitored first step for clients withdrawing from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, or stimulants. We coordinate placement with trusted Ohio-licensed detox partners, handle insurance verification and transportation, then warm-hand-off into our own residential or outpatient programs the moment you're cleared. You are never left to navigate withdrawal alone.
Learn moreResidential / Inpatient Rehab
For clients who need 24-hour structure, residential / inpatient rehab provides a fully supported, distraction-free environment for the acute phase of treatment. Through our Ohio network, we coordinate residential placement with daily clinical programming, on-site nursing, psychiatric care, and trauma-informed therapy — then step you down into PHP or IOP when you're clinically ready.
Learn moreOutpatient (PHP · IOP · OP)
Our core in-house programs: Partial Hospitalization (PHP) for clients needing residential-level care intensity while sleeping at home or in recovery housing; Intensive Outpatient (IOP) for clients rebuilding work and family life around treatment; and standard Outpatient (OP) for long-term, sustained recovery. Most clients step through all three levels as they progress.

Our Levels of Care
Outpatient Programs Tailored to Where You Are in Recovery
Legacy Healing Center Ohio offers a full continuum of outpatient addiction services so clients can step down through care while maintaining work, family, and daily responsibilities.

Program
Medical Detox Coordination
Withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, or stimulants can be dangerous and shouldn't be done alone. While Legacy Healing Center Ohio doesn't operate an in-house detox unit, we partner with trusted, medically supervised detox providers across Ohio to stabilize you safely before you step into our outpatient programs. Our admissions team handles the placement, insurance paperwork, transportation, and warm handoff to your detox provider — then welcomes you into PHP, IOP, or outpatient care the moment you're cleared. You are never left to navigate the system alone, and the entire transition is coordinated, confidential, and free from out-of-pocket surprises.

Program
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our Partial Hospitalization Program is the most structured outpatient option we offer — full-day clinical treatment five days a week, six hours of programming daily. PHP combines individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric medication management, family sessions, relapse-prevention work, and life-skills education in a predictable, supportive schedule. Most clients return home or to recovery housing at night, which keeps you connected to your support network while still receiving residential-level care intensity. PHP is ideal as a step-down from inpatient or detox, and as the right starting point for clients with significant clinical needs who don't require 24-hour residential supervision.

Program
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive Outpatient is structured group and individual therapy three to five days per week — typically nine to fifteen hours of programming weekly — while you live at home. Sessions cover relapse prevention, cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavior skills, dual-diagnosis support, family dynamics, trauma processing, and medication management. IOP is built for clients ready to rebuild a life around their recovery: keeping a job, raising a family, or finishing school while still receiving meaningful clinical support. Most clients use IOP as either a step-down from PHP or a step-up from standard outpatient when symptoms intensify. Evening tracks are available for working professionals.

Program
Standard Outpatient Program (OP)
Standard Outpatient is the long-term anchor of sustained recovery: weekly individual therapy, ongoing psychiatric medication management, monthly relapse-prevention groups, and case management for life issues that can derail sobriety (legal, employment, housing, family). OP is the right step for clients who have completed PHP or IOP and want to keep momentum, accountability, and clinical guidance long after the acute phase of treatment. We typically see clients in OP for six to twelve months, though many alumni stay connected through quarterly check-ins indefinitely. The schedule is built around your work and family life, not the other way around.

Program
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Substance use and mental health conditions almost always travel together — research shows roughly half of adults with a substance use disorder also live with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, or another co-occurring condition. Our integrated dual-diagnosis track treats both at once, because treating one without the other almost always leads to relapse. Care includes psychiatric evaluation and medication management, trauma-informed individual therapy, condition-specific group therapy, family education, and ongoing dual-track relapse prevention. This is the only approach with strong evidence for lasting recovery in co-occurring disorders, and it is the standard at Legacy Healing — not an add-on.

Program
Aftercare & Alumni Support
Recovery doesn't end the day you graduate from a program — that's actually when the hardest, longest stretch begins. Our alumni team keeps you connected with weekly recovery groups, sober social events, peer mentorship pairings, ongoing case management, and direct clinical re-engagement the moment life gets shaky. Whether you need help finding a sponsor, navigating a job change, supporting a family member who's now also seeking help, or simply talking through a difficult anniversary, alumni support is there. The goal is simple and we measure ourselves on it: nobody walks out our doors and disappears. Aftercare is included with every level of care.

FAQ
Common Questions About Outpatient Addiction Treatment
How fast can I get into treatment?
We offer same-day admissions whenever clinically appropriate. Once you call, an admissions counselor will conduct a free, confidential assessment, verify your insurance, and walk you through next steps. Many clients are in care within 24 hours.
Will my insurance cover treatment?
We accept most major commercial insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, United, Humana, and many regional carriers. Our team will verify your specific benefits — including any deductible, copay, and out-of-pocket costs — before you start.
Is treatment confidential?
Yes. Legacy Healing Center is fully HIPAA-compliant, and all calls, assessments, and treatment records are confidential. We never share information with employers, family members, or anyone else without your written consent (except in emergencies as required by law).
What's the difference between PHP, IOP, and outpatient?
PHP is the most intensive — full clinical days, five days per week. IOP runs three to five days per week for several hours daily. Standard outpatient is typically once a week. Most clients step down through these levels as they progress in recovery; our clinical team helps you find the right starting point.
Do you treat co-occurring mental health conditions?
Yes. Our dual diagnosis program treats addiction alongside conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder simultaneously — which research consistently shows is the most effective approach for lasting recovery when both are present.
What happens after treatment ends?
Aftercare is built into every program. You'll have a discharge plan, ongoing therapy if needed, alumni support, and access to your case manager. Recovery is long-term — we stay connected long after your last clinical session.
